A Styrofoam Collection Event is set for Saturday, January 21,
9:00am-3:00pm (or until full).
The following will be accepted:
- all packing foam (such as Styrofoam)
- clean Styrofoam meat trays (any color)
- Styrofoam egg cartons
Packing peanuts will NOT be accepted.

Public Work Day at Riverfront Park: Friday, May 20, 2005 from 10:30-2:30
The City of Salem is putting on its second annual Public Works Day. Learn what the City of Salem Public Works Department does 24-hours a day. Ever wonder about those large machines you see around the City? Now is your chance to find out. Thinking about taking the WET pledge? Come talk to a WET representative. This event is also food raiser for the Marlon-Polk Counties food Share. Bring canned food items in exchange for a hot lunch.
Earth Day at the Oregon Gradens: Saturday, April 15, 2005 from 10am - 4pm
Celebrate Earth Day at the Oregon Garden. This year's theme is "Sustainable Living: The Envionment." WET will have a booth located in the Grand Hall. Come listen to the educational talks on backyard conservation by Jeremy Baker, the "Green Building of the Year" by Nathan Good, and "Hiking Oregon's History" by William Sullivan. Earth Day admission to the Oregon Garden is free!
